So, I took my retail therapist’s advice and purchased some furniture, lamps, and a rug. I then cleaned my room, built the appointments, and arranged them. Below are the results.

The bed and nighstands are made of pine. I’m usually into darker woods, but thought that I’d try something new. I love the duvet cover [I thought that I'd protect the investment of the down duvet this time]

Another shot of the bed and nightstands. The lamp is your basic, natural-colored paper shade thingy.

A close-up of the new rug. It has an envy-green trim with [literally] twine cross-stitch. It feels great on the feet and prevents dust bunnies [and cougars] from forming.

The nightstands were super easy to assemble. Sturdy, too.

The floor lamp is merely a giant version of the table lamp.

In this layout, the massive desk / table is almost in the way. At this point, I wish that it was smaller.
So that my far and distant family members and friends may feel like they’re here with me, I’ve included a video. It was made with my little point-and-shoot camera, so the quality isn’t great. Give me a break.
